- LITERACY with a focus on the following topics: Breast cancer disparities and mental health, breast cancer risk calculators for women of color, genetic mutation testing for Black women, and disparities in breast reconstruction is an upcoming topic.
- Breast Cancer.org will fulfill the pledge by creating educational content in the form of medically-reviewed articles, podcasts, webinars, videos, and social media campaigns to inform and empower people, as well as to elevate the conversation around issues of diversity, health disparities, and inclusion.
“Tigerlily Foundation’s Inclusion Pledge is an important catalyst for change. Breastcancer.org wholeheartedly believes in promoting health equity and working to eliminate disparities for black women. Skin color should never be a barrier to receiving the best breast cancer information, care, and resources. The unity across organizations will ensure that women of color are represented, and we will all come together to dismantle systemic racism. Breastcancer.org is honored to join with other advocacy partners to firmly uphold the principles of the pledge.”
