Restorative in nature, this class will detail the fundamentals of the pilates practice. We begin with the pelvis and build slowly, working from the inside out. The core muscles: low abdomen, low back and pelvic floor will all be addressed. We will focus on breath work, gently opening and expanding the rib cage. Several range of motion exercises will be explored – especially where the arms and shoulders are concerned. Modifications will be plenty. Participants will leave class feeling lengthened and freer in their joints.
