Karen Jaynes is the Founder and Director of ALL WAYS YOGA, a yoga health and wellness company. She has practiced yoga for over 7 years. After beginning her practice, Karen quickly realized that yoga was more than just a trend to her.
Bringing years of dance, gymnastics and martial arts training to her yoga approach, Karen teaches Hatha Yoga using her own unique style combining the passions of all of her studies and experiences. Her classes are taught in vinyasa, ashtunga and gentle hatha styles for all yoga levels. Some of her classes include Power Yoga, Yogalates ( a combination yoga and pilates core class) YogaZoo for kids, Gentle Senior Yoga and Hatha Levels 1 and 2 as well as mixed level classes. She has trained through YogaFit, based in Torrance, CA. She has advanced certifications through YogaFit including Levels 1 – 4, Pre/Post Natal, YogaCore and Anatomy of Hatha Yoga. She is currently working towards her 200RYT and hopes to be completed by Spring 2009. Karen has been CPR certified for over 6 years.
Karen is a Yoga Instructor for the County of Fairfax. In addition to her work with her own company, the county and with local gyms, Karen has been committed to bringing Yoga to all, by hosting a community service class at King of Kings Lutheran Church for free.
She also conducts Stress Management Seminars. Her specialty is teaching stress management through breathing techniques, meditation and by helping groups and individuals identify their stresses. Karen focuses on teaching what stress is and how it affects the body, both physically and mentally. She has conducted stress management seminars at women’s retreat centers and within the corporate/business setting. Karen considers all of her students as gifts and feels blessed to have the opportunity to teach and share her passion of yoga in this life.
As a part of Tigerlily Foundation’s wellness initiatives, Karen Jaynes teaches yoga to women undergoing treatment and post-treatment. She teaches them to manage stress and breathing, re-connect with themselves, to re-center and find peace within after treatmen, through mediation and yoga. She will be involved in the planning of A Day of Beauty nation-wide and Tigerlily Foundation’s Wellness Center.
